Our Therapy Agreement

Who Maqsoud Works With

Maqsoud Psychotherapy and Wellbeing provides confidential online integrative psychotherapy for adults aged 18 and over throughout the United Kingdom, offering a supportive, non-judgemental space to explore life's challenges.
Here are the main elements of our working agreement.

Session Details

Ongoing psychotherapy sessions last 50 minutes and are usually held weekly via Google Meet, with telephone sessions available upon request, subject to clinical suitability. A separate 60-minute initial clinical assessment takes place before ongoing therapy begins.

Fees and Payment

A free 20-minute introductory consultation is available. The 60-minute initial assessment and subsequent 50-minute psychotherapy sessions each cost £60. Payment is required at least 24 hours before each paid appointment.

Cancellations and Changes
Please provide at least 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations or missed appointments may incur the full session fee. Exceptional circumstances will be considered fairly, in accordance with your agreement and applicable consumer rights.

Confidentiality

What you share in therapy is confidential, subject to legal and safeguarding exceptions. Information may be disclosed where necessary and lawful, including serious safety concerns. Wherever appropriate and safe, this will be discussed with you beforehand.

Clinical Supervision
Regular clinical supervision supports safe, ethical and effective practice. Relevant aspects of therapeutic work may be discussed confidentially, using anonymised information wherever practicable, while protecting your identity and privacy.

Online Sessions

Please attend from a private, suitable location within the UK,whether online or by telephone. Your physical location will be confirmed at each session. If our connection fails, or a session is interrupted,we will follow the alternative contact arrangements agreed beforehand.

Contact Between Sessions

Contact outside appointments is generally limited to practical matters such as scheduling. Therapy-related concerns are best explored during sessions. Maqsoud does not provide crisis support; in an immediate emergency, call 999.

Ending Therapy
You may choose to end therapy at any time. Where possible, we encourage discussing this in advance to reflect on your progress, address any outstanding concerns and plan a supportive ending.
