Frequently asked questions
If you have a question that isn't covered here, please feel free to get in touch.
The initial clinical assessment is a 60-minute online appointment where we explore your current difficulties, mental health history, personal circumstances and any relevant risks. It helps me understand your therapeutic needs, consider appropriate goals and assess whether my approach is suitable for you. Where appropriate, we may also discuss alternative sources of support.
The length of therapy varies from person to person. Some people benefit from shorter-term therapy focused on a particular difficulty, while others prefer longer-term work to explore their experiences more deeply. We will review our work together regularly to ensure that therapy continues to meet your needs and goals.
Sessions usually take place once a week at an agreed time. Meeting regularly helps to provide consistency and continuity in the therapeutic work. If your circumstances change, we can discuss what feels manageable and appropriate for you.
